Referrals are great.
But there is a dangerous side to being “referral based.”
It can convince you that you have a marketing system when you actually have a reputation.
Reputation creates demand.
A system makes demand predictable.
A clinic can survive bad marketing for a while.
It can survive a bad hire for a while.
It can even survive bad systems for a while.
What it cannot survive forever is an owner who keeps seeing the problems and postponing the decisions.
Avoidance compounds too.
